When I commit to something, I give it my all
“After 23 years, I had stopped growing at the Grafisch Lyceum. I wanted to try something new before I’d grow grey and grumpy. I love organizing — it’s my strength. And then I came across this job opening at VKOZ events & communication. My colleagues immediately said: go for it!
At VKOZ, I work as a project manager and relationship manager. I get the most joy from guiding a project. I love bringing structure to chaos. I always think two steps ahead: I set out with plan A, B, and C. That way, I can make last-minute adjustments if needed.
Staying calm and coming up with solutions is just in my nature. When a client has an idea, I enjoy going the extra mile and thinking along creatively. Everything has to be just right — from giveaways and pastries to balloons matching the venue’s color scheme. That fits perfectly with VKOZ: we give personal attention and that little bit extra.
When I commit to something, I give it my all. That’s true for sports — I once cycled the Alpe d’HuZes — but definitely also for organizing. I’m known for my optimism and enthusiasm. Bring on the requests — I’ll handle it.
Creating moments of joy and lasting memories is the most important thing in life, in my view. I want to make the most of life. That’s why I secretly dream of organizing something for the Ambulance Wish Foundation. It would be amazing to help fulfill someone’s final wish.”
Fun fact: I’m a real sports fanatic. I’m a ski instructor, love water skiing, and once abseiled down the Euromast — 110 meters straight down.
Collaborate? Nice.
