VKOZ and Buoy in Rotterdam

Let’s introduce: Buoy Communications

In June 2026, VKOZ events & communications, together with IHMA, will organise The 15th International Harbour Master Congress in Rotterdam. From 9 to 12 June, the city will welcome harbour masters from around the world, with the Port of Rotterdam as host. An international congress of this scale requires clear and consistent communication for participants, partners and the global maritime community.

For this communication, VKOZ works together with Buoy Communications.

Rooted in Rotterdam, at home in the maritime world
Buoy Communications is a Rotterdam-based communications agency with a strong focus on the maritime sector. From their office at the Veerhaven, they work daily on communication challenges in an international context. They understand the dynamics of ports and the people who work in them, and know how to make complex subjects accessible without losing depth or substance.

From strategy to story
Buoy is involved from the very beginning: thinking along on the message, tone of voice and timing. This strategy is translated into concrete communication tools, in close collaboration with designers, photographers, videographers and copy specialists. The result is communication that is consistent and aligned with the character and ambitions of the congress.

A partnership that fits VKOZ
In the preparations for the International Harbour Master Congress, VKOZ events & communications works closely with Buoy Communications. Short lines of communication, a personal approach and a willingness to think ahead make Buoy a valuable partner. Together, we build communication that supports what VKOZ aims to achieve with the congress: connecting people, sharing knowledge and strengthening international cooperation.
