For Blue-C, one goal was central: to give international media firsthand experience of how the Netherlands is leading in maritime innovation and the energy transition. With global players and pioneers in ports such as Rotterdam and Amsterdam, the country has a compelling story that demands to be seen. That’s why Blue-C organized an exclusive press tour for leading trade journalists. The initiative was prompted by the growing worldwide focus on sustainability, digitalization, and more efficient logistics chains. By connecting international media directly with Dutch companies, they aimed to strengthen the country’s position. At the same time, the tour provided a stage for organizations to showcase their innovations and vision. VKOZ was brought in to provide strategic guidance and facilitate the right connections.

From concept to a strong content program
Together with Blue-C, we worked on the data and optimal structure for the press tour. We actively approached Dutch companies and organizations aligned with the themes of innovation, sustainability, and the energy transition. We selected parties that not only lead in their field but could also share a compelling story with international media. We facilitated initial contacts and ensured a strong content fit between participants and the tour’s objectives. Additionally, we supported communication with all involved parties.
International visibility for an entire sector
The press tour resulted in a diverse program, giving top international journalists an up-close view of the Netherlands. With representatives from media outlets such as TradeWinds and Lloyd’s List, the sector gained direct exposure on influential platforms. The program included visits to Econowind, Huisman, and Ampelmann, complemented by presentations and interviews. This combination provided depth and valuable interaction. For companies, it meant visibility and new connections; for journalists, unique content and insights; and for Blue-C, a strong positioning as a connecting force within the international maritime sector—a result where strategy, content, and collaboration came together.
